Storys

Once upon a time were two fairies that lived in the same wondrous kingdom. The Fairies hated each other intensely.  One of the fairies proposed to have an epic battle to see who was the best sorceress.
The battle lasted for hours.  Finally the fairy that proposed to have the fight won. The other fairy flew away to her castle. That night the victorious fairy bragged about her triumph.  A nearby dragon named Drogos heard of the fairy and wished to eat her to gain her power.  That night as she was flying to her castle Drogos came up closely and gobbled her up, making the other fairy the best sorceress and the land.

Poem

All the little children
Be they Great or small,
Come to thee Lord Jesus,
Dearest friend of all.
Earnestly I need thee!!
For the narrow way,
Guide me in the darkness,
Hear me when I pray.
I am like a sheep, lord.
Just inclined to roam,
Keep me, safely home.
Make me strong when tempted,
Never let me fall,
Over all victorious prayer will conquer all.

Quell the storms and the tempests
Round me as they sweep,
Tender, strong, and deep.
Under thee, Lord Jesus
Victory is assured, master
Xeilted and adored
You must, while
you're young and free,
Zealous in his service be

Hello!

Guess what?  I have a blog!  To start out, I would like to explain why I named my blog The Phoenix and the Carpet.

The Phoenix and the Carpet is a fantasy novel written by Edith Nesbit and was published in 1904.  The story is about a mother that buys her five children, Cyril, Anthea, Robert, Jane and the Lamb, a new carpet to replace the old one from the nursery that they destroyed in an accidental fire.  The children find an egg in the carpet, which hatches into a talking Phoenix.  The Phoenix tells the children that the carpet is magical and will grant them three wishes a day.

I want this blog to be like the Phoenix.  For those who come across it, I hope that it brings joy to them.  I can hardly wait to get started!
